Art Therapy

Uses creative making to express and process what words can't reach

Art therapy uses the process of making art — drawing, painting, sculpture, collage — as a therapeutic tool, not to produce skilled artwork. The creative process itself can access feelings and experiences that are difficult to put into words, and the finished piece can become a focus for reflection and dialogue. Art therapists are trained clinicians, not art teachers. It’s used with children, adults, and older people.
